Deposits are only returned if we cannot offer you a puppy, i.e. there are not enough puppies in the litter. If you have any questions about our deposit policy, please ask before you send us your deposit. Deposits are nonrefundable but may be transferred to another litter.
To place a deposit on a puppy, we will need your complete name, address, phone and email address (if you have one) along with the deposit amount for the puppy. You will to print out and send in two signed copies of our puppy contract when you send your deposit. We will sign both copies and give one back to you when you pick up your puppy or prior to shipping your puppy. Picking order is determined by receipt of the deposit. Please call and talk to us about the kind of puppy you desire.
When we plan a breeding and open it up for deposits, we accept picks on a first come, first serve basis. We always reserve the right to the first pick and will try to indicate prior to accepting a deposit what our intentions are in regards to a particular pairing. We breed for the betterment of the Labrador breed and get very excited about each of our litters.
Puppy selection occurs at 7 weeks of age. By this age we can tell with a great deal of certainty what a particular puppy will grow to be. Picking a puppy is not an exact science, but we try to represent our puppies as well as we possibly can. We know that picking your puppy is an exciting time, and it can be very disappointing if we recommend not picking a particular puppy. We ask you to understand that we are doing this because we want you to be happy with your puppy and that your puppy needs to fit into your family for the rest of its life. A bold hunting dog will not make a good pet for a family who does not hunt -- just as a passive pet can be equally disappointing to a family who wants a bold hunter. There is more to picking a puppy than just looks. We do not allow our pups to leave for their new homes until they are at least 8 weeks of age, but will keep you updated with photos of the pups from day one after the litter is born, so you can watch their progress. We will email photos at anytime upon request.
